Why is Recycling on my bill?
The City of North Little Rock and Waste Management entered into a contract, offering North Little Rock citizens recycling services at their residential locations. North Little Rock Electric facilitates this agreement by adding recycling fees to our electric bills.
Why am I paying for Recycling if I don’t use the service?
The agreement between the City of North Little Rock and Waste Management applies to residential addresses of Customers within the applicable service area (this excludes Sherwood & County Residents). If you fall within this area, you will have recycling on your bill.
I don’t have North Little Rock Electric, why am I getting a Recycling bill?
If you live within North Little Rock City Limits but don’t have us as your Electric Provider, you will receive a bill from us for Recycling Services only. This is because North Little Rock Electric facilitates the billing portion of the deal that the City has made with Waste Management.
Why does the Recycling Charge change year-to-year?
The signed agreement has built-in rate changes. The cost of recycling will change year to year in line with the agreement with Waste Management.
Does North Little Rock Electric profit from Recycling?
North Little Rock Electric is only responsible for facilitating the billing process for recycling on Customers’ utility Bills.
Can Recycling be removed from my electric bill?
Unfortunately, we are unable to remove this charge from customer bills as it is a requirement of the agreement with Waste Management.
