ELECTRIC SERVICE SCHEDULE
MUNICIPAL STREET LIGHTING SERVICE (L-1)
Rate effective for bills rendered on and after December 1, 2027
Availability
To lighting service required by any Municipality contracting for street lighting service for streets, alleys and other public ways. Not applicable to temporary, resale, shared, or seasonal service. For purposes of this rate schedule only the term “municipality” shall mean any incorporated city or town served by NLRE; or any unincorporated community where NLRE serves or where an incorporated property owners association or Board, as a part of its ordinary function, furnishes street lighting and other services normally provided by incorporated cities to, or for, residents of the unincorporated community.
Character of Service
Lighting service under this Schedule will be furnished from dusk until dawn. The service voltage and type of service, series or multiple, will be at the Department’s option.
Net Monthly Rate
Department Owned Facilities
The following net monthly rate is applicable when the Department owns the entire street lighting facility, consisting of Department’s standard luminaire fixture on a wood pole, overhead circuits, controls and all other related equipment. Department will operate and maintain such facility at its expense, except that Municipality will reimburse Department for the cost of material required for replacing broken outer globes and for the total cost of replacing or repairing broken or damaged poles used primarily for street lighting.

NA – Not available to new installations after the effective date of this Tariff Sheet. When failure occurs or change out is scheduled the light will be removed and the customer may choose a replacement at the then current monthly rate of the replacement.
Energy Charge
For each unit size above, $0.02198 per rated kWh per month.
Energy Cost Recovery Rider (ECR)
The ECR shall be applied to each customer’s monthly billed energy (kWh).

Rate Reduction
The charges above will be reduced by 3.0% before franchise fees and taxes are applied.

Service under this schedule is subject to NLRED’s Service Rules and Regulations, as they are now or changed in the future.
