Rate effective for bills rendered on and after October 1, 2020

Commercial / Industrial Service

Availability

For electric service required by customer on the premises, when supplied at one point of delivery and measured through one meter. Not applicable to resale or shared service.

Character of Service

Single- or three-phase, 60 hertz, and at one standard delivery voltage required by customer and available at customer’s service location where service is delivered and metered at voltages less than 13,800/7,960.

Billing Amount

The billing amount will be the greater of the amounts calculated in either of the two methods above plus all riders times the billed energy.

Adjustment Riders

This rate tariff will be subject to all adjustment riders.

Demand

The kW or kVA metered, as shown by or computed from the readings of the NLRED’s demand meter, for the 15-minute period of greatest use during the month, subject to the table below. The NLRED may install kVA demand metering if low power factor is suspected. The Billing kW below may be further adjusted by the application of optional riders to this Rate Schedule.

1. If kVA metered:Billing kW = Metered kVA x 0.90
2. If kW metered:Billing kW = Metered kW
3. In either case the Billing kW will not be less than 100 kW of on-peak demand.

Excess Demand is the amount by which the Off-Peak demand exceeds the On-Peak Demand.

Service Regulations

Service under this schedule is subject to NLRED’s Service Rules and Regulations as they are now or changed in the future.
