If any part of the customer owned meter loop/point of attachment is damaged, it must be repaired by a licensed electrician before NLRED can safely reconnect service. This will include the weatherhead, service wire after point of attachment, meter can, and breaker box (see picture below).
Due to the circumstances with the weather and to speed up restoration efforts, we are offering our Statement of compliance form. This allows for a customer’s electrician to perform emergency work on the customer portion of the meter loop. Both the customer and electrician must sign the form and a permit must be obtained from either the North Little Rock or Sherwood Planning Department on the next available business day.
